As the NBA is reviewing videos circulating on social media of a maskless Cheap Kyrie Irving Jersey at what appears to be a family birthday party, there is no belief the Cheap Brooklyn Nets Jerseys guard will return to the team’s lineup this week, sources told ESPN.

Irving was already ruled out for the fourth straight game Tuesday night against Denver, and sources said that, at a minimum, he is expected to miss Wednesday’s game against New York and Saturday’s against Orlando. His absence has been attributed to personal reasons.

In the videos — which began being widely shared Monday night — a smiling Irving is dancing with his sister Asia on a confetti-covered floor and clapping as she blows out candles. If the video is found to be recent, that behavior could be a breach of the league’s coronavirus protocols.

The league’s COVID-19 guidelines forbid players from going to clubs, bars and lounges. They also ban players from attending social gatherings of more than 15 people.

“We are aware of a video on social media featuring Kyrie Irving at a family gathering,” Nets general manager Sean Marks said in a statement Tuesday. “We are reviewing the circumstances with both Kyrie and the NBA in order to determine compliance with health and safety protocols.”

“Kyrie will have the opportunity to address his absence when he is ready to do so,” Marks added.

New NBA protocols restrict guests in road hotels

COVID-19 is making this the most unpredictable NBA season ever
Nets coach Cheap Steve Nash Jersey, during his pregame media availability Tuesday, said he hadn’t seen the video in question and wasn’t going to expand on Marks’ statement.

Asked if he is confident Irving will return at some point this season, Nash replied: “Sure.”

On Tuesday night, Irving appeared to attend a virtual fundraiser for Manhattan District Attorney candidate, Tahanie Aboushi. Aboushi shared a photo from the event, which began at 7 p.m. ET, on social media. The photo appeared to show Irving in one of the video boxes. The Nets tipped off against Denver at Barclays Center 30 minutes after the fundraiser’s start time.

The investigation into the Irving videos at the family event comes during a turbulent week, as the league is reevaluating its coronavirus health and safety rules. The league has postponed three games this week as positive COVID-19 tests and contact-tracing quarantines mounted.

The NBA in conjunction with the NBPA announced tightened coronavirus protocols Tuesday, including further limiting movement for players and staff members on road trips.

The NBA has investigated other health and safety violations this season. In December, BlackSportsOnline published a video of Cheap James Harden Jersey partying, without a mask, purportedly at a Houston club’s Christmas party. After an investigation, the league fined the Cheap Houston Rockets Jerseys star $50,000, and he had to quarantine for four days while returning daily negative COVID-19 tests.

Harden never missed a game.

If a player misses a game for a COVID-19 violation, he would lose 1/72nd of his salary, according to league rules.

In the aftermath of his violating coronavirus protocols and absorbing a $50,000 fine, the NBA is mandating that Cheap Houston Rockets Jerseys All-Star Cheap James Harden Jersey quarantine and test negative for four days, which should clear the way for his return Saturday against the Cheap Portland Trail Blazers Jerseys, sources told ESPN.

The league’s medical staff started the clock on a Harden quarantine with Tuesday’s negative test and he should receive clearance on Friday, sources said.

“The precedent is that discipline gets ratcheted up,” NBA commissioner Adam Silver told ESPN’s Rachel Nichols on The Jump on Thursday. “It’s Christmas. It was a first offense. … In a way, he got lucky. If the game had been played, Harden would have been docked one game’s pay.”

For a game missed due a COVID-19 violation, players will lose 1/72nd of their salary, according to league rules. If the game had been played, Harden would have lost $572,985.

Thunder-Rockets postponed: What’s next for the NBA, Harden and both teams

‘This is only as strong as the weakest link’: The NBA’s new COVID-19 challenges
Harden was disciplined after video surfaced of him at an indoor gathering in Houston without a mask. He wouldn’t have been allowed to play in the Rockets’ scheduled game against Oklahoma City on Wednesday, which was eventually postponed because Houston couldn’t meet league guidelines with eight eligible players.

The video of Harden partying maskless, which was published by Black Sports Online and has been circulating on social media, is purportedly from a Houston club’s Christmas party held this week.

The NBA’s COVID-19 protocols prohibit players from going to bars, lounges or clubs and from participating in social gatherings of more than 15 people.

The league said Harden violated those rules when he attended a “private indoor party” on Monday.

Harden has told NBA investigators he believed he was in compliance with health and safety protocols, a source close to the situation told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. Harden and multiple witnesses at the event have told the league that he attended a seated dinner for a friend who had recently been promoted at work, the source said.

According to the source, Harden said he entered through a separate entrance, sat in a separate area of the venue with his security detail and was wearing a mask. He took a photo with his friend and gave her a gift. Harden, according to the source, said he left after approximately 30 minutes and did not continue on with the group, which went to other locations later in the night.

Harden, who has requested to be traded, violated the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols during his brief holdout at the beginning of training camp when he attended rapper Lil Baby’s birthday party in Atlanta and frequented Las Vegas clubs. The league required Harden to have six consecutive days of negative coronavirus tests before clearing him to practice with the Rockets.

Sources told ESPN that Harden had COVID-19 during the summer before the NBA season restart, which is why he was late reporting to the league’s Walt Disney World bubble. Players who have recovered from the coronavirus are still required to follow the league’s health and safety protocols.

As Cheap Houston Rockets Jerseys star James Harden considers his uncertain future with the franchise, the Cheap Brooklyn Nets Jerseys are rising to the top of his list as a possible trade destination, sources told ESPN.

The idea of joining Cheap Kevin Durant Jersey and Cheap Kyrie Irving Jersey in Brooklyn is resonating with Harden, sources said.

Durant and Harden — past teammates with the Cheap Oklahoma City Thunder Jerseys — have recently discussed the possibility, but there have yet to be trade discussions between the two front offices.

Harden has been increasingly uneasy about the Rockets’ ability to compete for an NBA title and has been considering the possibility of pushing to play elsewhere before his contract expires, sources said.

Does a Cheap James Harden Jersey trade to the Nets make sense?

Teams that can make real trade offers for Harden and Westbrook

How the new NBA rules impact trades, free agency and superstars
The Nets are believed to be considering the viability of a deal for Harden, but it is unclear how far the franchise would go in delivering Houston the assets it might require in return.

Rockets general manager Rafael Stone has consistently been telling teams that the team plans to “run it back” with Harden this season, sources said. The Rockets have seemed inclined to listen to offers on Harden, sources said, although that’s customary for most teams about most players in the league.

If the Rockets did decide to engage in trade talks on Harden, they’ve privately made it clear that they would require a monstrous return of players, draft picks and pick swaps. The Nets have two borderline All-Star guards on the roster — Cheap Caris LeVert Jersey and Cheap Spencer Dinwiddie Jersey — and several more intriguing young players.

The idea of playing together again came up during Harden and Durant’s offseason workouts together in Los Angeles. Sources said the players talked openly about whether the combination could work and how a trade facilitating it could work.

Durant was selected No. 2 overall in the 2007 NBA draft and became the building block of the Thunder team that advanced to the 2012 NBA Finals. Cheap Russell Westbrook Jersey and Harden were drafted in subsequent drafts, but as their talents grew, it became impossible for the small-market Thunder to sign all three to maximum contract extensions. Harden was traded to Houston in 2013.

Harden, 31, has been an All-Star in all eight seasons since arriving in Houston, winning MVP in 2017-18 and finishing among the top three in voting four other times in the past six years, and claiming the NBA’s past three scoring titles. He is owed $131.5 million over the three seasons remaining on his maximum contract, including a $46.9 million player option in 2022-23.

The Rockets have been actively searching for trade partners for Westbrook, but that marketplace is proving relatively barren, sources said. Westbrook, 32, has three years and $131.5 million left on his contract — including a $46.7 million player option in 2022-23.

He won the 2016-17 MVP and made his ninth All-Star appearance last season, which ended with Westbrook playing through rust and injury after rushing back from a strained right quadriceps during the first round of the playoffs.
